Paid in Paradox (winter 2023) is a resource management wargame where players build factories, laboratories, turrets, and battalions in a bid to take over the unclaimed land of Pandora.
To amplify the risk and reward inherent to the genre, players can take loans from their future selves, gaining free resources instantly. However, if they can't pay back their debt in time, they Paradox—losing all control until the debt is paid off passively, as well as reviving any enemy units killed during the loan period.

For Paid in Paradox, I was in charge of the game's mechanics and design, as well as much of the text for the rulebook. This included pitching the game's original concept to the team, as well as running playtests and balancing, though other team members also helped with that.
To keep the team updated with rule & balancing changes throughout the game's many iterations, I also wrote patch notes:
