false choir is an experimental instrument that creates unique, ever-changing sounds by oscillating the partials (harmonics) of a sine wave synth. The partials thus are no longer interpreted by the ear in the same way, forming a soundscape of separate notes, fading in and out, instead of a single one with timbre. If the user pauses the oscillations, however, the instrument once again returns to sound like a single note: hence the name false choir.
